folmer1stmodel.jpg (45124 bytes)On the left is the 1st production Sims Folmer model designed by Mike.  Notice the stingers on the tail section.  The stinger model measures 10 1/16" x 30 3/8".  The second board on the right has the same graphics but was more of a generic deck they offered that measured 9 1/2" x 30".  Both of these were from 1979/1980 era.

1979-1980

folmer2ndlastmodels.jpg (45229 bytes)Pictured here is the last Sims Folmer model (aqua) and the 2nd Sims Folmer Model with the snake tornado graphics.  If you look closely you can read FOLMER in the tornado.  This board also had channels routed for hand grips.  It measures 10 1/2" x 29 1/2", 1980/1981.  The aqua spaceship model was from 1983/1984, measures 10 1/4" x 29 1/2", and was an "E" (epoxy) construction. At this time Sims had sold to Brad Dorfman and Vision.

1982-83 & 1980-81

folmerFEmodels.jpg (48939 bytes)The third Folmer Model from Sims, from 1981/1982.  Notice the Tornado graphics theme carried over from the previous year's model.  The yellow model measures 10 3/8" x 29 1/2" and is an FE (fibre glass/epoxy) construction.  The purple is an E (epoxy) and measures 10 3/8" x 29 1/2".  Very cool that companies were putting the effort into manufacturing to include fibre glass or routed channels; this had to add a bit to the cost.

1981 - 1982
