brad baxter model DSCN2668.JPG (45263 bytes) Sent in from Brad a very cool piece of history.  Here is a prototype and his explanation: "The first pic I'm sending is of the prototype for the amateur model I had with Kama Kazie skateboards back in 1986. This is the actual drawing that the screen was made from drawn by my best friend Erik who I also grew up skating with"

brad baxter model DSCN2671.JPG (45056 bytes) Another view of the same board, right on!

walker.JPG (246782 bytes) David Velasquez sends in some cool FL stuff.  Here are two Walker boards, a YoYo Schulz street deck (autographed), and a "Scary Monster", both boards are super rare.

sticker.JPG (243673 bytes) sticker2.JPG (198223 bytes) Some Walker stickers sent in by David V.

First Florida photo in from Brady Mitchell.  Here we have a Roller Sports, Inc. "Proline" board (and wheels).  I believe RSI even manufactured the first Cadillac Wheels if my memory is correct.  These usually came with Chicago Trucks.  The year was about 1975.  RSI was out of Jacksonville, FL.  It all started HERE man!  Brady has since donated this mint/NOS gem to Kona Skatepark for their wall.  I remember as a kid you either had one of these or a Bahne.

pro line mvc-416x.jpg (143551 bytes) A closer look at the deck of an RSI Proline.  Contributed by Chuck Hults.  Keep looking for other gems from Chuck.

foam core monty mvc-423x.jpg (104754 bytes) A Foam core Monty Nolder Schmitt Stix, Rare, Or What?  Graphics by John McGuigan, tail graphics by Bruce Whiteside, top graphics by Chuck Hults.  Can you get any more FL than that?

Monty Bottom.jpg (146480 bytes) Check this out!  I never saw one of these color combos.  This also looks like the original shape too.  Very cool.  Binky Conklin sent this in.  Thanks a million!

jig monty mvc-424x.jpg (112184 bytes) This is the jig for the first Monty Schmitt Stix decks.  Sent in by Chuck.  He would hand sand the wheel wells for each board, one by one.  This is total HISTORY baby, they don't teach this in school!

old ghosts og mvc-426x.jpg (122940 bytes) These are the first John Grigley "Old Ghost" decks.  (Actually a Lester shape with graphics.)  Only about 300 of these were every made.  Rare.  Thanks  Chuck!

mccall mvc-428x.jpg (77778 bytes) Florida History 101, right here.  This is my all time favorite freestyle board.  Someone please remake this shape!  Mine is on it's last legs.  Jim McCall freestyle deck from Walker.  I think around '82ish.

Mcgill Bottom.jpg (151319 bytes) Another McGill from Powell Peralta.  This was  very common color, I believe the shape even changed a little over time with these graphics staying the same.  Another from the Binkster.
